Our Rooted Dahlia Cutting Guarantee
Gardening is such a rewarding experience, and yet it comes with its own unique frustrations and a big learning curve. We know from our own gardening and flower farming journey, the process of starting from a beginner, gaining skills and knowledge, and becoming a more experienced grower of cut flowers. We remember all the mistakes we made along the way, and are certain we will never stop learning and never stop making mistakes.
All of us who endeavor to grow plants in our home gardens have to learn not only the needs of each species and variety we grow, but also the unique ins and outs of our own gardens. Your zone, your soil’s composition and the unique microclimate of your specific plot of land all will play a part in the success of what you grow and what you as the gardener need to provide as you care for and tend to your plants.
It is in this light that we explain our guarantee to you, our valued customer...
There are so many things that can go wrong when growing something, even if you do everything perfectly, nature is not perfect and there will be crop failures. It’s just part of raising any living thing. We can not guarantee with 100% certainty everything that we sell will grow. What we can guarantee is that we will do everything within our power to provide excellent products that are accurately described and superior support! Your experience level, the amount of care (or neglect) you provide your plants, and the realities of weather, climate and mother nature play too big a role for us to offer a complete, no questions asked money back guarantee. We would not be able to operate if that was our policy. We are a small business, looking to provide excellent customer support and viable products.
So our guarantee is nuanced. We will always make it right when we are at fault. If we provide you a faulty or damaged product, we will replace it or offer a refund. If we make a mistake, we will correct it. We ask you to please evaluate your experience level, and give us grace if you (or mother nature’s idiosyncrasies) have contributed to a plant failure. Please do not ask us for a refund if you’re still learning and possibly killed your plant due to inexperience, or made a mistake (it’s okay! We’ve killed lots of plants too, zero judgment here. If you’re not killing plants, you’re not growing as a gardener), or if the realities of nature’s unpredictableness led to the failure of what you’re attempting to grow.
We maintain the right to make the final call on refunds, but know we will always endeavor to go above and beyond and do the right thing by you, our customer.
Best way to help us know what we need to know to make the right call when offering refunds or replacements:
- Check your order immediately upon receiving it. Open your package and inspect your items for any issues. Let us know within a few days of potential problems.
- Take photos and/or videos of anything you’re concerned about and send them to us
- Give us a chance to make things right, we can’t fix what we don’t know about :)
