description
When it comes to making bouquets shine, Bupleurum griffithii is the golden-wingman every arrangement dreams of. With airy sprays of tiny, long-lasting yellow blooms set against soft bluish-green foliage, this herbaceous annual slips into bouquets and borders alike, filling spaces with texture, color, and a touch of wild elegance.
From summer through fall, it thrives in well-drained soil, especially lighter, sandy types, and basks happily in full sun to partial shade. Hardy and unfussy, it tolerates cold snaps, needs little extra water once established, and pairs beautifully with other hardy annuals in the cutting garden. Just snip the central stem near the base when the flowers open, and enjoy vasefuls of filler magic until seed heads form.
While Bupleurum can be a bit of a free spirit (yes, it may self-seed enthusiastically), its generous blooms and dependable stems make it a secret weapon filler. In short, it’s the filler that makes your flowers look like they have their life together.
