description

Move over, basic blooms, Blue Boy is here to steal hearts and brighten bouquets with his flirty, frilly, electric-blue petals and effortless charm. This bachelor’s button may be single, but he’s never lonely. He’s the life of the party in cottage gardens, wildflower beds, and vase arrangements alike.

Standing tall at 24–36 inches, this cool-toned cutie shows up in late spring and early summer, then makes a bonus comeback in the fall if the mood’s right. Drought-tolerant, easygoing, and totally down for poor soils, Blue Boy thrives in full sun and just wants to be admired (which, let’s be honest, he will be).

Cut it, dry it, eat it (yup, those petals are edible!), or just gaze at it lovingly. With thistle-like blooms that don’t quit and a color that’s basically sky-in-a-flower, Blue Boy is your go-to for true blue garden romance.
