description
Midnight Blue Dark Nigella is the flower that shows up dressed like it’s going to a garden gala at midnight. With velvety deep blue blooms so rich they’re nearly black, and burgundy stamens serving drama in the center, it’s giving dark romance with a twist of edge.
Nicknamed Love-in-a-Mist (because even divas can be dreamy), it’s surrounded by feathery green foliage that creates a soft, misty halo, like it travels with it's own floral lighting filter.
Standing 12–24 inches tall with an upright, bushy figure (it knows it's angles), it struts straight from garden bed to bouquet with effortless flair. And when the blooms are done? Surprise, decorative seed pods that dry to perfection, keeping the magic alive long after the party’s over.
It's easy to grow, hardy, and doesn’t mind a little shade, though we all know it looks best in the spotlight (a.k.a. full sun). Start it from seed in spring or fall, give it well-drained soil, and watch it work. Midnight Blue Dark Nigella is the flower to get because who says a flower can’t be a little moody and still totally magnificent?
