description
Matilda Ptilotus is high end fluff, worth every bloom. With its feathery, silvery rose flower spires, resembling little bottlebrushes, the blooms (3-6" long) practically glow when sunlight filters through them. Turning basic bouquets into haute floral couture. This isn't filler, this is floral fabulousness. Not just a flower either, it's an investment in iconic.
Tough, drought-loving, and vase life strong, Matilda delivers luxury and performance. Grow it as a short-lived perennial (USDA Zones 10-11) or grow it as an annual in cooler climates. Native to Australia, it adores hot, dry weather so it thrives in full sun and appreciates well-drained, sandy soil. So no soggy feet! Matilda’s not cheap, but neither is your taste. One stem and your arrangements go from "aww" to "ooh la la". Well worth the price tag to say you have access to these high end blooming beauties.
